Jim Carrey in Hot Water After Telling Reporter She Was On His Bucket List

"Sleazebag" was how one Twitter user reacted to Jim Carrey's comment to Charlotte Long, a reporter for Heat Magazine, after he told her she was on his bucket-list of things to do.

When in The Hot Seat

Charlotte Long was interviewing Jim Carrey about his latest animated movie "Sonic The Hedgehog" and his reponse shocked the viewers.

Charlotte asked "In the film, Sonic has a bucket list. I was wondering, after all you've done in your career and in your life, is there anything still left on your bucket list?"

Jim responded: "Just you. That's it. It's all done now."

"Wow. I don't know what to say to that," Long replied, visibly taken aback.

"Just own it," Carrey said, laughing, to which Long responded, "OK, I'm owning it now."

The professionals quickly laughed it off and repositioned themselves. Long posted the interview on Twitter. The platform was ready to tweet their reactions.

Their rapid-fire was quicker than the speed of Sonic:

Not all Twitter users saw it the same way. Other had a different perspective of the situation. They returned fire just as rapidly as the little blue guy moves.

Carrey was criticized on February 2, for comments about Margot Robbie's looks on BBC's "The Graham Norton Show." which saw him insinuate her success is because of her looks.

Jim Carrey plays a villain in new animated film Sonic the Hedgehog which is set to release tomorrow - Valentine's Day 2020.
